inglés term
on or about

Jurídico/Patentes
Derecho: (general)
It's just at the beginning of a phrase in a legal document: On or about April 3, 2005, XXXX entered into an agreement... I understand that this is an expression that is used in the law so as not to specify a certain date, but is there a corresponding expression or idea in Spanish? Please help, and many thanks.

The "on or about" is a redundancy placed in the complaint (or information if a felony). It is there in case the complaint needs to be amended and the date changed for some reason. Sort of a procedural CYA. But the date, for all intents and purposes, is April 3 2005.

Comment: "Thanks for corroborating my decision here, Flavio. There are so many examples of this kind of redundancy in
American legalese, like "cease and desist' and "null and void." It's nice to know there are people out there thinking instead of just taking things literally and going with accepted usage."

La traduccion para "on" en fechas es "el" y "about" sin duda es alrededor, asi que esta es mi propuesta.
