Contexto: cuatro antiguos miembros de un grupo musical se van a reunir para hablar de la posibilidad de volver a juntarse. Antes de dicha reunión, se entrevista a uno de los miembros que dice lo siguiente:

"I think we might participate in the consumption of alcohol. So much so that it might deter our speech a slight bit and make us end up in the gutter, as it were."

Propuesta: "Creo que podemos tomar parte
en el consumo de alcohol para que pueda disuadir
nuestro discurso un rato y nos haga acabar en la alcantarilla, como antes".
