Selected
table football figure / player
The only reason I wouldn't recommend "player" is if it might lead to ambiguity - not to be confused with those playing the game.

: Figure.........if you only put one answer as the rules suggest.....then no problems with ambiguity

Thanks re figure. Proz rule on Kudoz answers (3.3) discourages multiple answers, ie posting one answer after another, not, as I understand, offering alternatives within an answer. Never had a complaint before and have answered >3000 questions... ;-)

table soccer/foosball figures/men
In the US it is called foosball, and I think they can be referred to as figures, but "men" is what we called them when I played, many a moon ago...

Discussion
I don't think it is possible to post multiple answers, one after the other, you are only permitted by the software to answer once - aren't you? (I will check that now with two answers for this question). The "Multiple answers", from my understanding, refers to posting several answers (or alternatives as you wish to call them) in the same, singularly permitted answer. But as you say you've never had a problem your way in your 1000's of posts and I'm a newby - so therefore I will start to post various alternatives in one answer as well, hedging my bets.....
Subbuteo, played properly is a tactically brilliant game, whereas futbolin is a flick of the wrist and good reflexes, no more...... ;@)
