no, I don't think they are the same, but I think they are parallel ideas... since you said this is insurance, I expect it's an excessive loan against a policy, but without more context, I can't really be sure, but I think you're safe with the parallel terminology....

I think this must be referring to the Overloan Protection Rider/Benefit of an insurance policy. It's not the same as a bank overdraft. Sorry I can't help with the Spanish.
