I have acquired comprehensive English language skills in my higher education classes (high school) in ...Germany and especially as a foreign exchange student during a 10-month-stay with a host family and the local high school in Atlanta, Georgia, USA where I took courses in American Literature, German, AP-level Latin, US History, and US Government (amongst others).
I had the opportunity to further extend my proficiency through continuous private efforts as well as throughout my studies of forestry and environmental sciences. I have been working as a freelance translator for over 8 years , specializing in translations, editing, proofreading and terminology from English to German .
Many of my jobs have been related to PC and console-based gaming , but also comprised marketing, social studies, finance and legal documents, website localization and various other texts.
I also have experience in lead translation, terminology management and leadership as well as project management for two large game localization projects.
