no traduje "sus cosas" como "them", sino a la idea en general de preocuparse por alguien
agree Francesca Samuel : "I care what happens to them" conveys the meaning perfectly. You don't have to say "I care what happens to them AND their things" because when you care about "them" it includes "their things". It's implicit.

agree lachacel : "I care about them" me parece la mejor opción, pues en inglés ese "care" no sólo consiste en preocuparse e interesarse sino que implica además cierto cariño, y eso es lo que es preocuparse por las cosas de alguien.

A literal translation may not be the best here.

I'd replace the phrase with something very idiomatic that a boss might say at the end of a similar sentence in English.

I'm aware of / show concern for their needs

I get the picture of a boss who wants to come across as caring and involved. He greets employees and demonstrates (or shows) concern for their needs.
