inglés al español Negocios/Finanzas Administración warehouse management
Same text as previous question, about Warehouse Management System.
This is part of a list.

Cross-docking
Process
Cross docking can only occur if the orders have already been allocated and there are shorts for a product.
At the time of allocation ensure that the shipment will have a specified destination location (staging location) to achieve cross docking.
Receive product.
When the system opens the Putaway screen, choose option for Directed Putaway. This will open up the Cross-Dock Deposit screen. If you will be depositing the product yourself scan the deposit location as directed by the system.

despacho directo

Cross docking means to take a finished good from the manufacturing plant and deliver it directly to the customer with little or no handling in between. Cross docking reduces handling and storage of inventory, the step of filling a warehouse with inventory before shipping it out is virtually eliminated [1].

Simply, stated cross-docking, means receiving goods at one door and shipping out through the other door almost immediately without putting them in storage [2].http://projects.bus.lsu.edu/independent_study/vdhing1/othert...

cross-docking

I once consulted for a chain of supermarkets. Cross-docking designated the operation whereby the trucks from suppliers arrived on one side of the dock, and from there merchandise was moved directly to the other side of the dock, where the vehicles bound for individual supermarkets waited. The term they used (in a Spanish-speaking context) was "cross-docking". I see that another response suggested "despacho directo". I cannot think of a better translation into Spanish if you absolutely have to use a Spanish term; still, some of the original meaning is lost.

En la jerga, se deja en inglés. Cierto, el proceso indica que no hay almacenaje, solamente tránsito de mercancías. Espero que te ayude.
