Por si acaso se necesitan mas contexto, " Fuimos un latigo de aire cargado de objectos rotos que sopla y golpea". La escritora escribe sobre un amigo que se ha muerto y ella crea que es cupla de la gente en general/la sociedad. Estoy buscando algo mas que; a whip of air. No se es una expresion que suele usar en castelleano? La busque en el internet pero no sale tal colocacion.

Hola,

en efecto, no se trata de una colocación en español, al menos que yo conozca. Por la descripción que hace parece que describe un tornado (que arrastra objetos y destruye todo a su paso).
Quizá te pueda servir.

*things - I don't know if the things are actually physical broken objects or events, "everything", emotions, etc. This might give the feeling of everything being torn apart by a violent/destructive storm/wind that destroyed everything in its wake.
