subjective fever
If a patient says he/she has had a temperature but hasn't used a thermometer and cannot therefore be certain, let alone specify the exact temperature, this is a subjective report of fever.
It is pyrexia without proof, or "subjective fever"
Areas that cannot afford even simple laboratory diagnostic tests often use only a history of subjective fever as the indication to treat for malaria

: more common, maybe, but I don't think "unmeasured" is incorrect, FWIW./Well I found "unmeasured" in Academic Journals by native En speakers.

I agree with you Liz that "unmeasured" conveys the meaning (see my response to that suggestion), but "subjective" is more common in native English references.

: In general, only Spanish speakers use this construction, it's translationese. (In liz's example "unmeasured" is just an aside, an extra note about the intermittent fever.)

For persons with no laboratory test performed, we assessed whether they had influenza-like illness (ILI), defined as fever (measured or unmeasured) with either cough or sore throat; or acute respiratory infection (ARI), defined as >2 of the following signs or symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, and rhinorrh
