Clinical trial into peri-operational acetylsalicylic acid use
Hi Kudozers,
This is (presumably) from Spain and it's for US English.
Taken from the results section of a publication based on a clinical trial.
The sentence in question comes just after comparing acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) vs placebo and reporting that ASA reduced the rate of cardiovascular events. I'm not sure how to translate "potencia" in the following sentence.
"El estudio no alcanzó la potencia suficiente para estudiar los eventos hemorrágicos."
My attempt so far, "The study did not have sufficient scope to investigate hemorrhagic events." or "was not far-reaching enough to...." (which sounds pretty awkward to me).
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
