CARTERA

Receivables or Outstanding Accounts Receivables

Accounts receivables compose the 'cartera'.There is 'cartera corriente' (current receivables) and 'cartera vencida' (past-due receivables). As they are talking about reducing the 'cartera' it is referring to efforts geared to collect the past-due receivables improving therefore the turnover. In banking, the cartera is the outstanding loan portfolio, which is in turn Accounts Receivables from the banking perspective.
