español term
licenciatura en medicina veterinaria
español al inglés
Ciencias
Certificados, diplomas, títulos, CV
The certificate is from a Mexican university.
The course title is: Licenciatura en Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnía.
It seems neither bachelor nor degree would work since (in the US) they would imply the completion of previous study programs. According to the Internet:
"Would-be veterinarians must hold a bachelor's degree at a four-year college before moving on to veterinary medicine school. Undergraduate work should focus on chemistry, biology, zoology, physiology, microbiology and anatomy."
Looking at the course subjects, this is definitely not a pre-course.
Any ideas?

: Although Charles Davis's answer in lorenab23's link is indeed excellent and full of valid points, Licentiate can be construed as a specific level of degree for foreign universities that may not be applicable. Degree is more neutral.

Thank you, indeed, Alex. Sometimes context extends beyond the document, into the realm of perception across distances—and time. Language is not just about words. Very well said!

: In Ecuador, at least, a Licenciatura is in fact equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the USA. Perhaps a brief footnote would be in order, explaining the academic level involved.
