español term

vehículos autobastidores

español al inglés Técnico/Ingeniería Automóviles / Camiones military vehicles
Term appears in an Iberian Spanish performance certificate for a military vehicle (ATV). It appears frequently throughout the text. An example:

I really have no idea of what it refers to, so I can't offer any suggestions. Military vehicles are not one of my language fields.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Chassis cab vehicles

Military vehicles aren't one of my specialist areas either, but I'll give this one ago. A "Vehículo autobastidor" appears to refer to a vehicle that has a chassis and a cab but no body (see reference). Based on this, the closest approximation I can find would be a "chassis cab vehicle", "chassis cab truck" or simply "chassis cab". You can see the example sentence in one of the links provided.
Example sentence:

MAN Kat A1 8x8 Chassis Cab Trucks. Direct from the military in excellent condition with low kilometres.

Note from asker:
You put me on the right track, but the client finally gave the term that they use: "self-framed tactical vehicle", and who am I to argue with the client?

body-on-frame

In english "body on frame" refers to a style of chassis/vehicle frame on which the frame/chassis is one solid piece that a cab or body more-so sits on top of. This independent frame is what the power train is built on, and it's common in trucks and vehicle built to handle heavy loads. Many heavy-duty military vehicles are body-on-frame.
