Trataré de explicar mi hipótesis para dar sentido a mi propuesta de traducción: el texto trata de comparar una página web antigua con un coche eléctrico antiguo. Ambos causaron una impresión extraña cuando aterrizaron en el mercado. Pero todo evoluciona y también lo han hecho las páginas web, al igual que los coches eléctricos. Y entiendo que en ese camino ha habido un perfeccionamiento al tiempo que un alejamiento de la imagen inicial, que ya se ve como obsoleta y pasada de moda.
Entonces mi propuesta habla de "distorsiones o desfases temporales", en tanto en cuanto hay cierto decalaje entre lo que vemos y apreciamos y cuando nos damos cuenta de lo que hemos visto y apreciado.
Digamos que nuestra percepción de las cosas siempre va con retraso con respecto al mundo que nos rodea.
Y este es el sentido que subyace bajo mi propuesta. Espero que te pueda ayudar.

Your source text sounds like part commercial, part website localization, all mixed together. I am not sure these four things are related and therefore give no additional context (for example, "Navigation tab label: Drivers")

Concentrating on the parallel drawn between clunky-looking early websites ("new technology always looks weird at first") and early electric cars compared to current improvements in both. "Time-warp parallax happens" sounds visual to me, like if it were a commercial, some sort of "Back to the Future" moment would happen where some visual of an old, cumbersome electric car morphs or fast-forwards to some new, modern and streamlined electric car with the years ticking by in the corner to show the evolution.
I'm unable to make an educated guess. I don't envy you having to sort this out. Suerte! :)
