Once a month Jul 10, 2022

I use the calendar more for myself than for clients and update it during the month, according to my workload. I find it kind of useful specially when I am booked in advance, but I’d say it makes no difference to clients as anyway they send enquiries through Proz even when my calendar is blocked solid red…

Once a month - mainly because if you don't keep it updated your profile shows as "not 100% complete".

Whenever I remember Jul 10, 2022

My clients know my availability, so there's no need for updating my calendar.

Prospective customers usually inquire first and then... they will also know when I will be available. Consequently, I update it only when I happen to think about it. And this just happened today.

Never Jul 10, 2022

I voted 'Never', as the calendar is not a feature I need or want. So much so that it is greyed out on my profile page.
My clients know where to find me, and they certainly wouldn't be bothered to check the calendar to know if/when I am available.
And I don't think potential clients screening ProZ for new linguists to work with would be checking that either.
I do not do rush jobs, so in case any potential clients should send out bulk emails for assignments to be completed within

I do not do rush jobs, so in case any potential clients should send out bulk emails for assignments to be completed within less than 24 hours based on the calendar, I wouldn't be available anyway. Even more so considering that usually they would be asking for one's best rate, on top of other 'desiderata' such as references, proof of ID, NDAs and whatnot. Something that I find particularly irksome, especially when associated to fast-turnaround jobs.

Edited for typo
