"Happy" sounds to me out of place in a mathematical description..
If I had to render "justo", I would say "is precisely the medium."

golden mean
The dictionary that I have translates "justo medio" as "golden mean".
Golden mean as per definition in another dictionary is:
1. The proportional relation between two divisions of line or two dimension of a plane figure such that short : long :: long : (short + long).
2. The middle between extremes
