Loss on Derivatives Contract
Derivatives contract is a very general term, inasmuch as derivatives come in the form of Forward; Futures; Options; Caps; Convertible Bonds; Swaps, Options. They can be used to hedge against some type of risk. A contract can be entered into in any one of these types of derivative instruments. A gain or loss on any of the foregoing is generated. The preposition I usually use for gain or loss is "on", that is, a gain on something or a loss on something.

\"derivatives\" en vez de \"derivative contracts\" ya que se entiende que se trata de contratos y es la forma usual de referirse a ellos en la jerga financiera
