inglés term

make recompense

inglés al español Arte/Literatura Religión Christian book on Evangelism
The sacrificial system established by God through the children of Israel was only a temporary means of atonement. (Leviticus 4ff, 16) It was inadequate to ***make full recompense*** for the guilt of sin. Throughout Israel’s history, the prophets foretold of the coming of a messiah to provide the ultimate propitiation for sin, one who would, once and for all, bridge the chasm of sin that had separated man from God.[...]
The promised redemption was fulfilled through the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He became the sacrifice to ***make recompense*** for the sins of mankind. Through his life and ministry he continually questioned the laws and rituals of the day, declaring them inadequate to make reconciliation to God; he drove the moneychangers out of the Temple, rejecting the legalism of the ritualism of the day; he referred to the Pharisees as hypocrites, wallowing in self pride; and he proclaimed that real salvation and service to God comes from the heart and is not dictated by the laws of man, challenging the religious hypocrisy of the day. He was not the savior the religious leaders were looking for; he was the savior the people needed.

redimir

Hola Anita,

Elena
