The term appears in a sentence within a context of a Manual produced by a financial institution in order to comply with the laws and regulations against money laundering practices of that kind of companies. The concrete sentence is:
"However, some of the procedures in this manual have been derived from guidance notes issued in respect of the legislation".
I am also a bit confused on how should I translate the complete sentence since I hadn't encountered before the formulation "in respect of the legislation". Thanks for any help....
