Esto es parte de un Manual del Empleado
“Workweek” The term “twelve workweeks” means the equivalent of twelve of the employee’s normally scheduled workweeks. Therefore, for an employee who normally works five 8-hour days per week, “twelve workweeks” means 60 working 8-hour days of leave entitlement. For an employee who works more or less than a five 8-hour-day schedule, the twelve workweeks would be prorated or proportional. Thus, for example, for an employee who normally works three 8-hour days per week, “twelve workweeks” would mean 36 working 8-hour days of leave entitlement.

The ability of English to modify nouns with nouns certainly creates some puzzles for a translator! I would stick to expressing the content as clearly as possible, instead of looking for a shorter solution.

I think specifying "jornada laboral" is more complete and a more frequent collocation than "día laboral" or just "jornada". In fact there are over 1,300,000 results for "jornada laboral" in Google search, whereas about 500,000 for "día laboral".
