I tend to eat less when I’m busy with work. When I’m really overloaded I might even forget to eat or drink…

Many software translations are so tedious that I compensate by boredom eating. Very few opinion pieces (still on software) are so interesting that I don't.

As a man well into his middle age, I try and be a bit careful about what and how much I eat. Very easy to put on the pounds sat at a desk![](https://cfcdn.proz.com/images/bb/smiles/icon_smile.gif)

I might eat slightly less at midday (2pm) if I want to surrender my siesta time to work. Otherwise, my workload doesn't really affect my eating habits.
Less if I'm really interested | Apr 8, 2018 |
But if I run into a lot of stumbling blocks, I tend to take a break and raid the frig.
Deadline first, meal second. When I can heave a sigh of relief and remember about eating. N. B. But much coffee (sometimes with chocolate) while working.

I can easily sacrifice bites and sups, but never a main meal! Eating satiates, providing energy (at the sake of the time) while distracting from the project--which often also works for better--a fresh eye... a pair, of course)

The more work I have, the less hungry I feel. Lots of work many times corresponds to one mean in the day.
The same overall | Apr 17, 2018 |
The major effect is on lunch, which I usually have at 1-ish after my stomach starts growling at 12-12.30, but when I'm on a really interesting project and/or a tight deadline I can sit down at 7 in the morning and not look up again, figuratively speaking, until 2.30 or 3 - by which time my stomach has given up and gone into a sulk!
