So far I've found only references to similar problems, but never the solutions.

However, as soon as I've installed Multiterm Desktop 2009 SP1, I started getting an error when opening and closing Word: 'compile error in hidden module: AutoExec". Also, I couldn't use Multiterm ribbon in Word at all - every time my mouse pointer had selected that ribbon, Word crashed immediately.
Since I'm rather curious when it comes to computers, I first tried to fix it myself. That didn't work out but at least I've found out that the error will never occur if the Multiterm template/add-in for Word is not loaded/installed. I had problems only with using Word+Multiterm ribbon (Word integration). The separate, standalone Multiterm program works perfectly.
Obviously, there is a problem with the Multiterm8.dotm template or, to be more precise, the hidden AutoExec module/macro included in it.
Help?
PS a curious thing happened - the installation of Multiterm with a fully working Word Integration ribbon succeeded on a laptop which had no SDL/Trados software previosly installed on it.
BTW my computer now has Office 2007, Trados Studio 2009, and Multiterm 2009.
I kept Trados 2007, but uninstalled Multiterm 2007. ▲ Collapse | | | Preuzmi SDL Side by side tool | Dec 14, 2009 |

Apparently, this problem occurs if you don't uninstall Multiterm 2007 before installing 2009 version.
Luckily, Saša found the solution to that problem - just visit talisma.sdl.com, search for the article 2947, download the attached Side-by-Side application (attached to the article, on the right side of the window) and just follow the instructions.
Cheers!
PS Sasa, thank you a lot!

I tried SDL Side by side tool, doesn't work.
So I reinstalled the Multiterm Desktop 2009 SP1 (install again, without uninstall first), the popup disappeared.
I can not explain why, but it works. | |

... I cannot use MultiTerm because it is still causing Word to freeze, and what's the point of using Trados in Word if I can't use MultiTerm. For the moment I'm sticking to TagEditor for Word documents until I find a solution. If anyone else has some advice, I'd love to hear it.

I could not fix the problem, although I belive I have tried evetything. Time was pressing me, I had a translation job to do, so I finally had to reinstall Windows and start from scratch (happily enough I am using a disk imaging tool and a deinstallation only takes me about 30 minutes).
However, I must say, I will not give Studio another chance in the near future. Studio 2009 SP1 is still Studio 2009 Beta as far as I am concerned. I have tried MemoQ 3.6 and I did not run into ANY problems with it while trying it, so I might revert to that after all. ▲ Collapse | | | roderick_c Suiza Local time: 13:12 alemán al inglés + ... I made the serious mistake of "upgrading" a perfectly good working system (Windows XP, Office 2003 and SDL Trados FL 2007) to Windows 7 and Office 2007.

From the start Multiterm 8 refused to cooperate, but with the assistance of SDL Support, it apparently looked OK. However, I have since been plagued by problems with Multiterm 8. I could not incorporate Multiterm 8 into either Word 2003 or Word 2007. After the template Multiterm8.dotm is installed in the Word add-ins, the error message "The macro cannot be found or has been disabled by your security settings" appears when opening Word , and persists in spite of all corrective measures suggested by microsoft (lowering security levels, checking add-ins etc.). Mulltiterm is unusable and only leads to a crash in Word.
A further problem arose when I tried to create a new termbase: at the end of the termbase wizard the message appeared:
"Cannot Create Termbase
The following local termbases could not be opened. Verify that the files exist, are valid termbases, and you have permission to access them."
So the end effect is that 50% of the tools I need to translate are unusable. I am neither very happy with Microsoft nor with SDL - I will try the SDL Support again; last time they were very helpful.... and maybe step by step a solution will be found to overcome these exasperating problems

I would like to desactivate it and uninstall it from my old computer to active and install it on my new computer. I gave it a try and when I wanted to uninstall the Trados Studio 2009 from my old computer I was not able to uninstall SDL Multiterm 2009 Word Integration because it seemed that another file had exclusive access to the file and I was not able to find it. I have Office 2010 on my computer and Windows 7 on both my old and new computers.
How can I solve this issue, please?
Even if I was not (and am still not) able to uninstall SDL Multiterm 2009 Word Integration, I removed everything from my old computer except SDL Multiterm 2009 Word Integration and I was not able to activate Studio 2009 on my new computer because the following message diplayed:
"The activation of the fulfillment is denied by the activation policy because fulfill count exceeded the seat count # 7290-5816 (Error code 50040)]. "
How can I solve this issue, please?
I would like to upgrade to Studio 2014 but, first I need to solve urgently these issues.
By the way, I contacted SDL last week and I have not received any answer yet.
If you have any idea, feel free to share them.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
