La roca madre, el suelo y el humus resultado de los procesos de descomposición de la hojarasca, constituyen el segundo bloque de factores limitantes por:
· la ***profundidad de aparición*** de la roca madre,
· la composición del suelo, es decir su proporción de arcilla, de limo y de arenas, y de su pH,
· la velocidad de descomposición de las cubiertas muertas.
La ***profundidad de aparición*** de la roca madre condiciona las características del enraizamiento (dicho llanamente: rastrero o pivotante).

Fergana depression is in the Central Asian republics of Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Please see also the News Letter no. 13, October 4, 1999. In spite of a long history of oil-gas exploration in this depression several questions remain unanswered: 1) Nature of the deformation and depth of occurrence of the Paleogene rocks in the central part of the depression; 2) scale of overthrusting and assessment of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic in the overthrust zones along the north and south borders of the depression; and 3) oil-gas potential of the Paleozoics

These are specialised instruments designed and fabricated as per the requirement of field practitioners of earth sciences to carry out geophysical/geological exploration of minerals and ground water. in this connection I make it "formation" - although one could also say "depth of presence of the mother rock". As to roca madre, Eurodicautom indicates mother rock as well as parent rock and also
