¿podría utilizarse el término "to smash" (which have smashed prices...)?

Gracias

slash prices You may have been thinking of 'slash' prices, but I don't think it suits the register.

Not at all well written in Spanish, but i thinkg this whole bit needs to be translated as above: ... que se adjudicaron con precios muy bajos que han tirado de los precios a niveles desconocidos en la última década.

agree Charles Davis : "Driven" is the right word ("dragged" is closer to the Spanish but less idiomatic IMO). The downward pressure on prices through underpriced tendering is the point being made and should not be elided.

español term (edited): [con precios muy bajos que] han tirado de los precios [a niveles]

at prices lower than anything seen

Your text is grammatically flawed; you don't have to repeat 'prices'. I would collapse the whole thing and say:

'at prices lower than anything seen in the last decade'

neutral Charles Davis : Hi Muriel. I don't think it can be boiled down like this. The point they're making is cut-price tendering has driven market prices down generally, and this has hit their profits.

dragged prices down

A version of Albion's answer.

<<tenders that were awarded at very low prices that have dragged prices down to levels unheard of in the past decade...>>

Hang on, I'm not happy about the repetition of "prices" in my sample sentence.

<<tenders that were awarded at very low rates that have dragged prices down to levels unheard of in the past decade...>>
Example sentence:

Recent events have dragged prices down...

he Wall Street Crash in October 1929 dragged prices down on commodity exchanges.
