Hola,

¿cómo traducirían esa frase? está presente en un certificado de defunción y la frase dice: "denominación de la dependencia de salud" y luego dice el nombre del hospital en el cual falleció la persona.

Esta oración es un título, es parte de la información del fallecido, como por ejemplo "fecha de la defunción, hora, edad de fallecido, etc.." por lo tanto, no puedo escribir una explicación del término, debe ser la traducción de dicha frase.

El certificado es de Venezuela.

Hay una denominación oficial asignada a ciertos productos como garantía de su procedencia y calidad. La denominación de una persona depende de su orígen natal. (diccionario) Supongo que la denominación de la dependencia de la salud es la categoría en la que cabe el tipo específico de dependencia dentro del sistema de asistencia médica. En inglés sugiero que es algo como: "the type of dependence and the category in which the particular health problem occurs in connection with the person's medical requirements and health care dependency"

In the belief this was Lat. Am., rather than Spain, I've extrapolated from Mexico that I thought others on-the-spot in the country would have picked up on.

Health (medical?) unit, as in the discussion entry, I had also considered and dsicarded as over-specific.

Dependencia: entry 3 - government agency, West.

Example sentence:

Or department, authority, agency, etc. Organization seems suitably broad for it to work here.

The designation is simply a more distinguished way of expressing the name of the unit or the organization, under which the relevant information should be found in connection with the incident. The title should be above the details such as the date, time and the patient's age, etc.

Note that the designation of the department or faculty includes its title, denomination or identification. In more detail it includes its classification, assignment and its working specifications.

neutral AllegroTrans : Why don't/can't you agree with "name" which is crystal clear? Do you know how to use the "agree" button? You appear to never have used it. Aside from that, "designation" has meanings other than "name" and it is not a "more distinguished" way.
