Clocking devices
"Timer 1 is configured as divide by 1,500 square-wave rate generator. The clock for Timer 1 is 1Mhz. The two millisecond RTIMCLK [real time clock] signal is used **to gate** Timer 1 and to clock "D" Flip-Flop; and the output of Timer 1 is used to clock "D" Flip-Flop. Whenever the **gate** of Timer 1 goes low, counting is disabled and its output (MBESP*) is immediately forced high. "
I've seen gate (noun), in this context, translated as 'puerta', portal' or even 'gate'; but, I'm not sure what 'to gate', or 'to clock' for that matter, means here.
Translation is for Spain, thanks.

entrada de control / controlar
It is a specific input for controlling the clocking of the circuit. Coincido con Hasnae Briel excepto en mi nivel de confianza porque incluso he armado y puesto a funcionar estos circuitos.

I've found some information on the Internet and it appears that the equivalent in Spanish is "cierre" of an electronic circuit. You might find it interesting to read something about it at: http://www.profesormolina.com.ar/electronica/componentes/int...
