Dear all,
I would like to invest in a good Spanish-English legal dictionary, as well as a Spanish-English financial dictionary. I am used to working with "Diccionario de términos económicos, financieros y comerciales (Enrique Alcaraz Varó and Brian Hughes) in as far as financial dictionaries are concerned, but have no idea about legal dictionaries. What do others recommend/suggest? Many thanks! Hanna

As far as I know, is the best English Spanish legal dictionary. It is used by both translators and lawyers. Back in the College of Translation it was called 'the bible'.
Hope that helps!

This is the best one I know of, though not perfect. I complement it with the Spanish English Dictionary of Law and Business by Thomas L.West III.

Thomas West & Alcaráz Hughes = winning combination

I just wanted to "agree" with the prior comment, I use both Alcaraz-Hughes and Thomas West's Dictionaries of Law and they give me pretty much what I need. I also bought "Diccionario Bilingue de terminologia Juridica" by Mazzuco and I probably have used it 2 or 3 times and it really didnt help much....

el alcaraz-varo es como bien han dicho la biblia, pero hay otras opciones, existe un diccionario esp>eng>esp de términos jurídicos de Espasa-calpe que tampoco está mal, tiene más o menos lo mismo, yo tengo los dos y lo bueno de este diccionario es que viene con una copia en CD-ROM, que en determinados casos es muy util, sobre todo es comodo.
