Hello everyone,
I would like to quickly check whether the rate offered by some clients are fair.
There used to be a free go-to TM match calculator online, but I cannot find it, anymore.
Any help would be appreciated.

Studio, MemoQ, etc. use different weights when calculating "fuzziness". | | | Silvia DC Países Bajos Miembro 2009 neerlandés al italiano + ... PERSONA QUE INICIÓ LA HEBRA
Thanks very much Maria Teresa, but I this is not quite what I was looking for.
It is a chart with pre-set formulas where I just insert my word price and calculates the total rate.
This is roughly what I mean:
Word counts
Locked 0 words
Perfect Match 0 words
Context Match 27 words
Repetitions 605 words
Cross-file Repetitions 0 words
100% Match 79 words
Fuzzy 95% - 99% 12 words
Fuzzy 85% - 94% 37 words
Fuzzy 75% - 84% 167 words
Fuzzy 50% - 74% 0 words
New 2073 words
Internal Fuzzy 95% - 99% 440 words
Internal Fuzzy 85% - 94% 315 words
Internal Fuzzy 75% - 84% 92 words
Internal Fuzzy 50% - 74% 129 words | |

Thank you Jorge, but I am looking for something like this: https://www.l10nsoftware.com/catcount-match-calculator/
Which I did not find in my Studio 2021 version. I would just like to input my price per word and get the total without bothering to go through all the calculation.
Perhaps proz.com could import such a tool on the platform for paying proz members. | | | Jorge Payan Estados Unidos Local time: 05:06 Miembro 2002 alemán al español + ... What about Excel? | Mar 15, 2023 |

I have used TO3000, and of course CATCount, for decades. It is indeed useful when used inside TO3000, as it remembers the Percentage of full rate (discount) for each customer. Indeed, the fuzzy bands it proposes are tailored after Trados Studio. However, it is not free.
As long as different customers use different discount percentages for each fuzzy band, you would have to enter the discount percentage and the number of words for each fuzzy band for each customer. So, I see no useful difference between CATCount or Match and a simple Excel sheet. In fact, I stopped using it several years ago.
What I do in Studio 2021 for confirming the total price is to run the Analysis of the file(s) against the TM provided by the customer. I save the corresponding report as an Excel file. After that I open it and append to it a small previously prepared table containing a column of discount percentages for each fuzzy band, another for the numbers of word in each fuzzy band (filled out by Excel itself), price per No match (price per word) and the totals. It takes just five minutes.

Something like this?
https://www.meridianlinguistics.com/rate-calculator/
That blog post says that the website for "Match Calculator" doesn't exist anymore, but GIYF:
https://match-calculator.software.informer.com
With Match Calculator, you can save different discount schemes by selecting "Add new client" (there is no save button, but it saves automatically when you exit). It can't import word counts from e.g. a text file, so you have to type in the word counts manually. And you can't change the fuzzy match bands, but they are fairly standard already.
