A couple of years ago, I sometimes felt a bit snowed under, because a lot of things were arriving at the same time, so I had to really juggle to keep on top of everything. However, for the past year so it's been slightly less hectic, so you could say things are ticking along nicely. For example, unless any jobs come in today, I'm looking forward to a relatively quiet time between now and Wednesday, with no weekend work to speak of.

Some clients have actually paid in advance, but haven't delivered the texts for translation yet; I just hope they don't all turn up at once.

Dagnabbit! Just when I thought I was going to have an easy day of it, a client just e-mailed me to say they will be sending me "some phrases to translate" throughout the day... Heigh ho... No rest for the wicked | |

It's already happened a few times in 2019 that I don't have any assignment to deliver and no bookings whatsoever. It means my work volume is decreasing.
I am not used to spending several working days in a row with a schedule completely blank. I will see how much I have to worry after totalling 2019 sales.

EDIT: spend-ING may be more correct

December was not as busy as usual and for the past 10 years I have always had some larger projects to take me over into the new yeasr which were n´missing this year.
And just as things were satrting to pick up in the middle of January, my 21 year old daugher had a fatal car accident which put me down for a couple of weeks.
Things are hoever going a lot better now under the circumstances.

I'm used to the lousy Januaries, as usual. That was not a surprise. But March is following January's path, and that has never happened before. The situation of our market is scary!

I'm really sorry to hear that, Michael. It makes my comment above sound absolutely unimportant and me egotistic. God bless us all.
