I’m not sure I fully understand the question. In any case, although I don’t see how this relates to translation, my country, despite its small size, has a wide variety of dialects and regional accents, and in recent years, there has been a resurgence – perhaps due to the rise in tourism – of traditional music, particularly ‘cante alentejano’ (a polyphonic choral singing style from the Alentejo region of southern Portugal), ever since it was inscribed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural ...
