The hardest bit for me is not knowing how much I’ll be earning from one year to the next. Up 10-15% is great, down is not so good (and saving is easier said than done).

I am glad to work for one single client nowadays, which makes my life so much easier. But when I started out I had trouble keeping track of POs, late payments, etc., too many clients, too many projects!

It's not something I do very often, and I always use the same non-aggressive methods. I have a decent client portfolio, thankfully, but I would have a hard time starting all over.
