ProZ.com powwow: Let's get to know each other!

Hello everyone,

I thought a summer powwow in Exmouth would be a great way for translators in the area to get to know each other.

If the weather is good, we could have a barbeque by the beach or a picnic in the park. If the weather gets too hot or too cold, we could retreat to a pub or restaurant - I'm open to suggestions!

It will be interesting to see how many translators there are in the area - and obviously any translators from Exeter and the surrounding area are also more than welcome!

Powwow coming up! Aug 7, 2007

Hello everyone, the powwow is coming up this Saturday and I just want to remind people to confirm whether or not they can attend. So far there's 3 confirmed (in addition to myself), but the more the merrier, so I hope more of you will be able to make it.

I don't know what the weather is planning on doing, so I was going to suggest that we meet by the pavillion in Manor Gardens, which is sort of halfway between the beach and the town, and just take it from there.

I hope to make it to Exmouth this Saturday, but it all depends on a potential translation job...

By the way, where is the pavillion in Exmouth? Don't know Exmouth that well...

I just remembered that the theatre on the seafront is also called The Pavillion! The one I mean is just a tiny gazebo-type thing in Manor Gardens, the Tourist Information Office is located in this park, so you'll find it if you follow the signs for that. Some practical info Aug 7, 2007

If you want me to verify your identity on ProZ, all you have to do is bring a current ID and the link to your profile. Your profile must state your real name in order for me to be able to do this.

You will also need your ProZ ID no. to fill in the attendance sheet, which is well worth doing as it earns you 200 kudoz!
