Mate sessions Explicación: I'm assuming that this refers to the consumpion of mate tea, and the text comes from a country where it's customary to drink it. |

mate klatches Explicación: Although not very common, the word "klatch" (plural "klatches" or "klatchs"), borrowed from the German "klatsch", is used to refer to an informal social gathering, especially one held over coffee for the purpose of conversation (the term usually appears as "coffee klatch"). In some South American countries, similar gatherings are held over mate instead of coffee. mate-drinking sessions Explicación: To me, the best option is "mate-drinking sessions". It could also be gathering or meeting instead of session. I think we can't omit the word "drinking" here, we don't want to confuse the reader with the other meanings of "mate" in English. Mate is a typical drink in many South American countries. I am from Argentina and I drink mate every day. This website mentions "mateadas (mate drinking sessions with friends)": https://hispanickitchen.com/2011/07/06/pastelitos-de-dulce-d... And here's some information of what a mateada is: https://aldianews.com/articles/local/philadelphia/mateada-as... |
