Por otro lado... cfmn es una abreviatura en español, no latín. Así que como bien dice nuestro estimadísimo Samuel Murray: "In the absence of a client style guide, my thinking is... translate the parts that are translatable." Pienso que lo aplicable para la bibliografía, también es aplicable para las citas bibliográficas, sean estas técnicas, legales, comerciales, etc.

The safest bet is to leave as is AND translate In order for readers to be able to find the references, they need to be left as is. However, for book/journal/article/paper titles, it's always a safe bet to insert brackets right after the original title to tell the reader what it says.

There is an argument... for leaving all legal citations exactly "as is" because this is how they will appear in the compendia of case reports etc. Translating even part of a reference may make it difficult to find.
