español term
que ostentase mejor derecho
español al inglés
Jurídico/Patentes
Derecho: contrato(s)
Licensing agreement
SPAIN. From Licensor obigations in a licensing contract. "Ostentar" is usually "hold" but it looks like it should be "alleging/claiming" in this context. I really need the whole phrase.
"Asimismo, se constituye en responsable de las reclamaciones que un tercero, que ostentase mejor derecho, pudiera instar contra el Licenciatario, por el uso y explotación de la propiedad industrial licenciada, eximiendo de toda responsabilidad al Licenciatario."

who has/possesses/holds a better right
"Ostentar" here refers to the fact that the third party does have a better right than the licensee. I would not use allege or claim because those verbs do not suggest that the party actually has that right as is the case here.
Note from asker:
That's what it says (I was considering using title/entitlement too) so if it sounds OK to you guys... |
