español term

Dintorno

español al inglés Arte/Literatura Arte, artes manuales, pintura
An art textbook distinguishes between 3 elements of shapes: contorno, dintorno y silueta.

It gives this definition of dintorno: "la superficie interior que genera el contorno de la forma".

I understand what it means, I'm just not sure how to express it in English!

Many thanks in advance for your help.

agree Charles Davis : I think "inner contours" is probably the best you can do.

"contained space" "delineated space"

Since you are a native speaker, you choose the one that sounds more natural
