The term "alias DOB" appears in a criminal background check as one of the fields on the form. From doing a bit of research, I believe they are referring to a "false" DOB a person has used in the past. Is there an "official" translation for this in Spanish? It is specifically for a document from Texas. Thank you!

It's a "fake" date of birth, indeed. Now you need to figure out whether "declarada" or "adulterada" is more appropriate, depending on whether this person actually stated this was his DOB or whether he has a (second, third...) birth certificate showing a DOB different from the one on the actual birth certificate.

I don't think there is, Rachel. I did quite a bit of research when I had to translate it a few months ago and this is the best I could come up with. I've been a legal translator for almost 44 years and I've never seen it in Spanish. If it's a form, maybe you could use FN (R/F)* and the asterisk could have the legend *Real/falsa (declarada o adulterada)

The date of birth corresponding to the alias. If the person is using a false name on purpose, they most likely would not use their own dob.
