Client asking how long does it take to finish transcription

Hi all,

I have a client offering a large volume of audio transcription. They asked me how long does it take to finish 20 minutes or 40 minutes etc of clear recorded audio. I transcribed before but still have no idea if there is a standard time to finish transcription.

They need the audio translated then transcribed. From your experience, how long should it take normally to finish a minute of transcribing and translating simultaneously a clear audio. I have to give my cl... See more

I have a client offering a large volume of audio transcription. They asked me how long does it take to finish 20 minutes or 40 minutes etc of clear recorded audio. I transcribed before but still have no idea if there is a standard time to finish transcription.

They need the audio translated then transcribed. From your experience, how long should it take normally to finish a minute of transcribing and translating simultaneously a clear audio. I have to give my client approximate time, so any suggestions or comments from more experienced colleagues will be helpful.

Translation &transcription time Jan 15, 2015

Approximately for one minute of audio run time it would take 14/15minutes.Based on the duration of the audio you can decide how much time you need to finish translation and transcription.

Hi Mandy,

I would say 1 to 1.5 days for 20 minutes and +/-2 days for 40 minutes.

I would say that it depends mainly upon your speed through the process of writing/translating/precise hearing...
