Hi everybody! I've just been sent several scanned documents to be translated from English into French. The agency estimated the number of source words. They asked me to estimate the number of target words (no word count possible because documents are scanned). Should I raise by ten per cent the number of words they estimated? Given the fact that I won't be able to use TRADOS, and that therefore, I will spend more time than usual on my translation, should I raise my rate? I just don'... See more Hi everybody! If the document contains a lot of repetition, it would be worthwhile to simply type it over, so you CAN use Trados. Depending on the volume, of course. Others have mentioned OCR software, and that would do the trick too. | | | Alicia Casal Argentina Local time: 00:57 inglés al español + ...
