Q. "What do you use to schedule your work?".
A. My brain.
Same here, I have never used agendas, folders, spreadsheets, calendars, etc. Never. There is no need at all. I am really surprised by those who say they do. | | | John Fossey Canadá Local time: 23:16 Miembro 2008 francés al inglés + ...
I've been using BaccS for years and it serves my purposes well, especially when scheduling short, urgent jobs on top of large long-term projects.
However, the licensing is through a ProZ Plus subscription and since SDL (and now RWS) have taken BaccS over I am looking for an alternative. | | | I have always used some sort of scheduler | Apr 13, 2022 |

Most of the time I have three or four translation projects running in different languages with different deadlines, I have voice recording projects in between, all with different customers. So I definitely need something to keep track of all the projects and deadlines and I have a wall planner, an Excel spreadsheet and Opus One as an agenda.

My favorite feature is natural language processing for events. "Meeting with David tomorrow at 8 am" perfectly translates into an appointment. | |

I think computers/the Internet/mobile phones have made people mentally lazy.
Once upon a time you agreed an appointment with somebody and both of you showed up at the agreed time and place. Not any more. Now, you both call each other, repeatedly, to change the time and place - or even just to to tell the other person that you're coming. What a waste of time and money.....

I can always remember what I’m doing this week, but good luck memorising my New Year flood of advance bookings for the coming months, or the dates and volumes for the jobs I currently have booked in for September to December.
I don’t think noting these bookings down on a year planner is either unbelievable or lazy. It’s sensible. | | | Páginas sobre el tema: < [1 2 3 4] | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: What do you use to schedule your work?
