Hello Anthony,
If you want to listen to any kind of music, a great website is http://www.radioblogclub.com/
You simply log in, then make your own selection (click on the grey heart, it becomes pink), and listen to it. It's really easy. It's a good alternative to downloading, and you can try all sorts of things.

Or, if you're more into electronic or alternative music, you can try Deep Forest, which is quite an interesting one, or José Gonzalez.

-Zazie (excellent music, the lyrics are amazing)

-Zebda (I'm from Toulouse, sorry, I can't help it)

-Charlotte Gainsbourg (recent album, "5:55", good music to work)
-Ali Farka Touré (excellent music)
-Stael (you can download a few songs on www.lamusiquenapasdeprix.com)

All these music sites... it doesn't bode very well for record stores though does it... a very dear friend of mine owns a record store and I always feel very guilty with sites like this... old fashioned I suppose!
This one is good though, because it's not actually downloading is it?
