Off topic: ALT and ALT GR keys no longer works

As of yesterday these keys no longer work on my Toshiba laptop.
I suspect it was following me trying to fix a couple of the keys, which had loosened one way or the other - so I may possible have held down certain keys for longer periods. Obviously I never shut down the computer whilst playing with these keys...
It is not a sticky keys issue, I have tried to hold down the Shift keys for 5 seconds and other similar things... See more

But nothing seems to work! And I am getting really frustrated with this. Never realised how dependent I've become on certain keys - like Alt+tab etc...

Hi,
I read the topic of this forum and since I had a similar problem a few weeks ago, I thought I could help. You can try and use an on screen keyboard (to see whether all the keys are recognized when you tipe them); then, check the status of the keyboard (under "System/USB resources) to see if any problem is diagnosed; also you may try and use an external keyboard.
