No - but . . . Dec 9, 2012

If I'm in touch with them in December, I will add a note to my e-mails wishing them happy holidays.

It's customary practice to do this over here in Japan for the New Year -- it's not done for Xmas.

I limit my season's greetings to a regular thank you for work received during the year and something like "looking forward to many more successful projects in the coming year" along with a notification of when I will be stopping work and will be back in the office. This is the bare minimum.

Most sales people here, in fact, make a point of actually visiting their customers and making courtesy calls and/or sending them a New Year's gift, none of which I have the time, money or inclination for.

This ain't Europe or the U.S.

I don't usually send special seasonal greetings, but at festive times (not just end-of-year in Spain) I often end up my emails with a celebratory coda. In fact, I'm pretty sure I wished someone a "feliz acueducto" just the other day. Thursday and Saturday were holidays here, which forms a rather long "puente" or "bridge", which basically means (any excuse for) a long holiday weekend. The December "puente" is based around the 6th and 8th of the month. The first of these is the Día de la Constit... See more

The first of these is the Día de la Constitución Española, or Constitution Day. Then comes the 8th December, ‘La Inmaculada Concepción,’ which is a religious feast day.

Then again, I usually wish my regular contacts a good weekend when signing off on a Friday anyway, so it's no big deal. The more the merrier!

I send postcards to my key customers and e-mail the others. It's a great opportunity to thank for the good cooperation and to remind some less active clients, that I am still alive and in business.

Yes, I plan to Dec 9, 2012

It is my first "season" running this business and I will be sending out actual greeting cards with well wishes / thank you notes to the customers I have acquired since starting up. My customers are mostly based in central Europe, so I will wait another week or so.

Me too.
Practically everyone else here does it, and the good wishes are usually sincerely meant.
