Not sure if I understand the question.
I have to go to Alicante airport tomorrow morning to pick up family members arriving for a holiday at my place... it's a couple of hours drive depending on the traffic - does that count as "travel"?

Do you already know what your future travel destination will be?
Poll by Montse S.
Yes, everything ready! (please share)
Proz urges people to provide full contact details on their profile page. Many have complied in order to be 100% in line with site recommendations/requirements.
Is really it wise for such people to announce on the www exactly when and for how long they plan to be away from their homes?

Next year, when my earnings and regular income will allow me a day off, I will fly to London. If I can manage this one-day trip I will head off (some months later) to Hong Kong for some days to visit old places I know and a friend of mine.
You may thing nothing is ready. Well, it is. For a one-day trip I don't need a hotel and for HK I stay with my friend. I can go whenever I want to - if business allows it.

but Samarkand, Buxara and Khiva are the destination. Tickets bought, reservations made, language being worked on, guide books by the ton (all saying more or less the same thing!)

@writeaway: no intention to offend, just to share with other people our travel destinations (real or desired, if you want) and maybe even get some tips from fellows. Moreover, time is not even mention in the poll, only the place. There's no obligation to answer.
My trip: not decided yet, but in Europe in any case.

I have lived and worked in Peru in 2007 and have been going back every year to visit my former hostfamily but I always take a detour.
This year I went through Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Patagonia, Chile and up to Peru.
Next year I will be flying to Mexico and then going down through Central America, Colombia and Ecuador to get to Peru again.
Happy travels | | |

@writeaway: In my opinion, the aim of this threat is to give the opportunity to share ideas where and how to spend your holidays or weekend trips.
This year, I'm feeling really burnt out so I've decided to visit three different places: Santiago de Compostela, Hamburg and La Palma. The tickets are already bought and the reservations are made.

My future travel destination is Heaven. Better be sure you are on the right track before the last sand grain falls through the hourglass.
This year I have already travelled: Cornwall, so my next trip will be next year and in this case, no idea yet

We have no plans to travel, as we SHOULD be moving house in the next month or so. We have 17 years worth of Family Stuff to sort out before we move.
My Ultimate Travel destination is to Heaven too. As the old song says 'This world ain't my home, I'm just passing through to Jesus'.
In the mean time, it has been a joy to travel to some wonderful places and meet some lovely people on the way.

I will be travelling up to the north of Brazil (we live in the south-east), overground from Fortaleza to Belem, taking in the Lencois Maranhenses and Sao Luis on the way (please forgive UK keyboard!) and then, later in the year, Guyana. No trips back to Europe or the UK for a while.

Nope, not going anywhere.
Regular back and forth travels between Brussels and Lisbon as I have done for the last 25 years (when I moved to Brussels for professional reasons my children stayed at home in Lisbon...).
