I've always felt that opportunity has knocked so many times that I wish I had 3 or 4 lives to carry out all the possibilities I've been presented with.

I too wish to have more than one life to be able to carry out some of the opportunities that knocked at my door.
It never knocks, I always leave the door open for it.

I was going to say that people also say "carpe diem" and that every day is filled with opportunities. Of course, it takes some vision to spot them.

Fools rush in ...
Like all homilies or pat refrains from homespun wisdom, I believe there is something of truth in this, a whiff of inspiration. However, I don't see the relevance of it here, since it is very airy fairy, I might as well say "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" or "the early bird catches the worm"...
What opportunity? | Mar 6, 2010 |
I wish to ask "What opportunity?"
My attitude to opportunity of any kind is:
Some opportunity knock only once, other multiple time.
Don't look back for the one that you missed (or think you did).
Keep your eyes peeled for the one that might be around the corner.
That one may or may not be for you.
So again, What opportunity?

With every sunrise, ... | Mar 6, 2010 |
... there is a new day. Whatever went wrong during the day before or in the past, you've got a new opportunity to make the best of the day to come. Maybe the circumstances are better, obstacles faded away, you've learnt from the past. Sit down, have a nice cup of tea, get up from the table and leave into the sunrise and into the new day ....
So where are the 25% who agreed? | Mar 6, 2010 |
Whether it knocks or just sits waiting to be recognized, everyone so far says it comes more than once. So where are the other people who aaree that it only knocks once? Let them step forward and explain themselves!
Well life is full of opportunities, and as many others, I wish I had more than 1 life to use them all.
But the real opportunity comes only once, and it is the one that could make your life completely different.
If we talk about normal opportunities as freelance translators as some said: we build our own opportunities, and I have had many....
But all these things have "improved" (could have improved) my life, my job.... not changed my life and put it on a completel... See more Well life is full of opportunities, and as many others, I wish I had more than 1 life to use them all.
