For more than 15 years, I have worked with words in different ways: as a translator, editor, post-editor and QA specialist, both freelance and in-house.
My career started mainly in translation agencies, where I worked as a QA Manager reviewing technical, legal and financial content from English and French into Spanish, as well as multilingual projects, first in TEP workflows and later also in MTPE workflows.
My role also involved reviewing OCR-processed or converted files and recreating the source formatting in the target documents, especially for files converted from PDF or PowerPoint.
Alongside my in-house roles, I also collaborated as a freelance translator with different agencies, which allowed me to keep honing my translation skills while applying everything I was learning as a QA Manager.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in localization and decided to specialize further in this field. Later, I had the opportunity to work in a localization agency, where I gained hands-on experience in video game localization, LQA, multilingual QA processes, terminology and style guide management, as well as communication between linguists and end clients.
Today, I bring all this experience together to help localization and translation agencies deliver clear, consistent and polished content for readers, users and players.
