button backgroud / contrast (grey/ lightgrey) | Jul 19, 2017 |
I´d increase contrast on buttons, or even highlight (maybe bolding the font)

I turned it on, looked at it, and then turned it off again. Now, when I click that link, the new navigation doesn't return -- the old one stays.
Hi, a login page with HTTP (un-encrypted) instead of HTTPS (encrrypted) is for sure not state of the art, isn't it?

Turned it off and now there is no way of turning it back on...

There was a bug for some users. It should be fixed now.
Thank you, it is fixed. Now, however, I can’t switch to the new menu using the link provided in the very first posting of this thread, namely:

(no big loss to me anyway, just reporting)
Nate Hill wrote:BTW, if you don't like the dark green color of the menu, what color would you make it?
To me, it was not dark green. It was as black as coal. I’m absolutely fine with the standard (or old already?) #5f5f29. Or #336666. Or #CCCC99. But, please, no black, I don’t want to feel like staring at a graveyard.
Heinrich Pesch Finlandia Local time: 08:37 Miembro 2003 finlandés al alemán + ... In the new menu there is no indicator for my availability | Jul 19, 2017 |
And when I go to my profile, it says "not available" (red), even though in the calendar I'm green.
The indicator on the front page reminded me to update my calendar, when it was grey.
Good job, except for that three-bar drop-down menu icon. So mainstream and cliche. But that's just my aesthetic pickiness.
I mean, you could've placed your logo in there, or something. But yeah, intuitiveness uber alles, I guess. Even if all the world's websites are starting to look the same.

By default when you click on "Login", you're asked to log with an insecure connection. Previously, it was the opposite: the secure HTTPS login page automatically appeared... it took a conscious effort to login with the non-secure connection.
This is wrong. The link should be corrected as soon as possible.
Otherwise, the interface looks nice.

change just the navigation (which, clearly, looks more modern) and leave the rest of the site in the old skin?

This is all beginning to look a bit like a case of "too many cooks will spoil the broth".
So of course, only my suggestions should be acted upon.

Good Changes | Jul 19, 2017 |
Hello,
Good changes but perhaps another colour could be used for the stripe?
Thank you. | |

Like it, navigating is simpler.
I like it. If feels a bit more dynamic and clean.

Looks okay, but:
1. Can you please give us an option to just close the viridian stripe ("meet the new ProZ.com menu")?
2. When you hover over menu items, the links such as "Term search" or "Ask question" are underlined and the dropdown items become dark green. This inconsistency is very unpleasant. Maybe you should consider choosing either the same hover color or underlining for everything on the menu.
