Do you know if the text is written in Spanish from Spain? If so, I don't think the term "parada" refers to a "parade": in Spain we normally use the term "desfile" to refer to a "parade". In my region, some towns celebrate a "mercado medieval" once a year, and "parada" is the name that we give to the different street shops, some of them with live animals.

¿Se trata de un desfile de burros o de una zona concreta en la que subir/bajar del burro (como una parada de autobús)? Porque en ese caso el término a utilizar sería diferente.
