spring line means: a mooring line, a rope by means of which a sailing vessel is made fast to an anchorage, usually one of two. In Spanish: cabo/cuerda/soga de amarre/fondeo. The cleat is where the springline is tighten up. Cleat in Spanish= "abrazadera" or "listón" although the technical word is "cornamusa" or "bita".
