I assume ... ... that this is about ferrets (you haven't mentioned anything re. the animal/pet, though). Another German variant of "Bedeckung" is "Deckung" (as already pointed out by Veronika).

A vixen is the female animal of small predator species, especially foxes and all marten species including badgers.
